Why Trails Need HelpTrails are a vital component of an active society, and a key link between people and nature. They offer health benefits for users, reduce vehicle pollution, stimulate the local economy through tourism, enhance property values and connect people and places. Most importantly, they provide a sustainable way for the public to actively enjoy the many great environmental resources Southern California has to offer. But trails need help. Without maintenance, trails become eroded and dangerous before eventually disappearing back into the environment. Unfortunately, the government agencies that manage the region’s trails often lack the budgets to maintain the trails they have, or build the new trails they plan. But non-profit groups like Trails4All can help, and with your support we can maintain and build the trails residents and visitors have come to love, without added costs to taxpayers. |
