Past Cleanup Results

Since 1997, the Inner-Coastal & Watershed Cleanup has helped remove more than 500 tons of trash (the weight of nearly six Boeing 747s) from Southern California’s waterways, making for cleaner watersheds, beaches and ocean environments for people and wildlife to enjoy.

*This isn’t a typo. In 2008, we cleaned up two illegal dump sites in Riverside County, accounting for 160 tons of waste, including some hazardous materials that were at risk of leaching into local water supplies.
